Huntington Summer Arts Festival Seeking
College Intern for the 2010 Season

HUNTINGTON, NY, 27 January 2010 -- The Huntington Arts Council is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications from college students for an internship at the 45th Annual Huntington Summer Arts Festival, which this year kicks off June 26 at the Chapin Rainbow Stage in Heckscher Park. Presented by the Town of Huntington and produced by the Huntington Arts Council, the outdoor festival presents a mix of music, dance and theater performances by Long Island artists as well as national and international acts, all free to the public.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with staff and tech crew in volunteer coordination, writing press releases and enewsletters, designing posters, creating an on-line buzz for the huge roster of talent performing over 44 nights, contacting artists or their agents for press photos and much more. Founded in 1963, the Huntington Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization which enriches the quality of life of Long Islanders with programs and services that address the needs and interests of artists, cultural organizations and the community.
