Huntington Arts Council to Host
2010 Suffolk County Cultural Arts Grant Workshop

HUNTINGTON, New York, 4 November 2009 - The Huntington Arts Council announced today that it will host the 2010 Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs (SCOCA) grants workshop for arts organizations in Suffolk County. The workshop will be held at the Council's Main Street Petite Gallery, 213 Main Street, Huntington on Thursday, November 19 from 4-5 p.m. Space is limited; reservations are now being accepted via email to info@huntingtonarts.org or by calling 631.271.8423 x10.

The workshop will cover two funding opportunities. The Community Arts Regrant Program is targeted to community arts groups; the Cultural Development and Tourism Grant is for major cultural institutions and festivals. County Executive Steve Levy announced that the County Department of Economic Development and Workforce Housing's Office of Film and Cultural Affairs will post the application on November 14 for the 2010 grants on www.suffolkartsandfilm.com, then click on the "Cultural Arts Grant Program" tab. Applications must be postmarked by January 7, 2010.
