James V. Kelly Joins Huntington Arts Council Board

Huntington, NY, 30 June 2009 - The Huntington Arts Council is pleased to announce the appointment to its Board of Directors of James V. Kelly, C.P.M., and CEO and Managing Principal, JVKellyGroup, Inc.

Through Mr. Kelly's leadership, JVKellyGroup, Inc. has become a leading professional services firm specializing in developing and implementing innovative spend management solutions for its expansive list of Fortune 500 clients. With more than 20 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, Mr. Kelly is an innovative leader in using metrics to increase purchasing performance, process re-engineering, contract negotiation and supplier management.

Mr. Kelly's commitment to the Huntington community led him to be elected the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce in 2005. As a result of his work in rebuilding the financial stability of the Chamber, Mr. Kelly was named one of Long Island's Top 50 most influential people in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

"I'm excited to be a part of this organization and to help in bringing the best in culture, art and new ideas into the town," stated Mr. Kelly about his joining the board of the Huntington Arts Council.

Before founding JVKellyGroup in 2002, Mr. Kelly was Managing Director of Global Purchasing Operations and eSourcing for Deutsche Bank, a Team Leader in Sourcing and Strategic Relations at Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group and the Vice President of US Purchasing Operations at Citibank. He is also a featured speaker for organizations and events such as the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), the Conference Board and the CFO Sarbanes-Oxley Conference.

Founded in 1963, the Huntington Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization which enriches the quality of life of Long Islanders with programs and services that address the needs and interests of artists, cultural organizations and the community. The Council's programs reach over 750,000 Long Island residents, and it serves the entire region with its cultural listings at www.huntingtonarts.org. The Council is the official arts coordinating agency for the Town of Huntington, and serves as the primary regranting agency in Suffolk County for the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), in addition to its services to over 600 member cultural organizations and individual artist members.
